Essien Udim Lawmaker Hails Governor Umo Eno’s Movement To APC As Bold And Strategic Move – It was an atmosphere of jubilation with a spirit of unity, the member representing Essien Udim State Constituency in the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Prince Ukpong Akpabio II, who is the member representing Essien Udim state constituency in Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly was among prominent dignitaries present at the reception of Governor Umo Eno into the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The landmark event, which took place at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State marks a significant political shift in the state and is widely expected to reshape Akwa Ibom’s political trajectory ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Speaking to journalists at the event, Prince Akpabio II praised Governor Umo Eno for what he described as a courageous and strategic decision to align Akwa Ibom State with the political leadership at the federal level. “This is a bold step by His Excellency, Governor Umo Eno, to link Akwa Ibom to the center in the overall interest of our people,” Prince Akpabio II stated.
The lawmaker who was a member, Security and Venue Subcommittees reiterated his commitment to supporting initiatives that advance the collective interest of the people of Essien Udim and the broader Akwa Ibom community. He noted that unity and alignment with the federal government will position the state for long-overdue development opportunities.
